Aims of the course

 

Enhance teachers’ understanding of the key fundamental learning areas and their connection to the development of all language skills. 

 

Equip them with strategies to design meaningful learning experiences that promote students’ use of the Arabic language in real-life contexts through critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving.  

Through interactive activities and discussions, participants will explore methods to integrate early years learning areas with language development. 

The goal is to effectively engage and motivate students throughout their learning journey by creating impactful experiences that strengthen their Arabic language skills and expand their vocabulary. 

Intended outcomes

 

  • Conclude the meaning of child development 
  • Analyze the seven areas of learning (prime/ fundamental) 
  • Identify the foundational stages of Arabic language development in early childhood, including listening, speaking, and emergent literacy. 
  • Explain how immersive, playful, and routine-based Arabic exposure supports children’s cognitive and linguistic development. 
  • Design language-rich FS2 classroom environments that embed Arabic in print, visuals, routines, and role play. 
  • Model developmentally appropriate, engaging Arabic language activities using songs, stories, sensory play, and movement. 
  • Apply strategies to introduce and repeat Arabic vocabulary intentionally across daily schedules and morning routines (e.g., snack time, transitions, circle time, and group time, etc…). 
  • Conclude the 10 most effective teaching strategies in early years 
  • Conclude the 10 most effective “DAP” teaching strategies 
  • Discuss the cultural and identity-building power of Arabic language in early years classrooms. 

الأهداف ونواتج التّعلّم: 

  • التّعرف على معنى نمو الطّفل 
  • التّمييز بين المجالات السّبعة للتعلّم (الأوّليّة والأساسيّة). 
  • مناقشة تسلسل مراحل اكتساب مهارات اللّغة العربية في الطّفولة المبكرة (الاستماع ،التّحدث، ومهارات القراءة الأولية). 
  • شرح أهمية التّعرض الغنيّ للغة العربية من خلال اللّعب والرّوتين في النّمو المعرفيّ واللّغويّ للطفل. 
  • تصميم بيئة صفية غنية  توفر فرصًا ممتعة وجذابة لممارسة مهارات اللّغة العربيّة من خلال الوسائل البصريّة، الرّوتين، واللعب التّمثيليّ. 
  • تطبيق أنشطة تفاعليّة مناسبة لمرحلة الطّفولة المبكرة لاثراء المخزون اللّغويّ للطفل و تعزيز جودة المهارات المكتسبة باستخدام الأغاني والقصص واللّعب الحسيّ والحركة. 
  • تلخيص الاستراتيجيات المختلفة لتقديم المفردات الجديدة وتكرارها بشكل هادف ضمن روتين اليوم المدرسي. 
  • استنتاج أكثر 10 استراتيجيّات تدريس فعّالة في ـمرحلة الطفولة المبكرة 
  • مناقشة دور اللّغة العربيّة في بناء الهوية الوطنيّة والثّقافة المحليّة في مرحلة الطّفولة المبكرة.
