Aims of the course
Aim: To equip the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the behind-the-scenes aspects of an education inspection and ensure effective preparation for the inspection process. 
 
Objectives: 
  1. Enhance Understanding: Provide the SLT with a comprehensive overview of inspection criteria and standards to deepen their understanding of the inspection process. How to write the SEF and SIP to specifically meet the requirements of pre -inspection 
  2. Develop Skills: Equip the SLT with the necessary skills and tools to conduct self-evaluation aligned with inspection criteria, enabling them to identify areas for improvement. 
  3. Training for Readiness: Offer targeted training sessions to the SLT focused on inspection readiness, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the various aspects of an inspection. 
  4. Facilitate Communication: Implement a communication plan to effectively disseminate information about the inspection process and expectations to the SLT, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. 
  5. Alignment with Standards: Align school practices and processes with inspection standards to ensure compliance and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and educational excellence. 

By achieving these objectives, the SLT will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and preparedness to understand the behind-the-scenes of an education inspection and lead the school effectively through the inspection process. Schools can also attend specific individual school development, offering a bespoke approach to inspection support.
