Aims of the course

Enhance educators’ understanding of the key principles of brain development from infancy to adolescence, and how these developmental stages influence learning, behaviour, and cognitive processes in the classroom.

Empower educators to apply neuroscientific research findings and insights on brain plasticity, cognitive functions, and socio-emotional development to inform instructional practices, curriculum design, and classroom management strategies that optimise student learning outcomes.

Equip educators with practical strategies and evidence-based techniques to create brain-compatible learning environments, differentiate instruction based on students’ developmental stages and individual learning needs, and promote healthy brain development through engaging and effective teaching practices.

Intended outcomes

The Influence of Teaching on Brain Activity: Exploring how effective teaching practices can stimulate brain activity and promote neural connections that enhance learning and cognitive development in children.

Optimising Brain Development through Teaching: Discussing how outstanding teaching strategies can create enriched learning environments that foster positive brain plasticity, leading to improved cognitive functions and academic outcomes for learners.
