Aims of the course
  • Understand how regulation and dysregulation affect behaviour,engagement and learning readiness 
  • Explore how stress and cognitive load influence children’s nervous system responses and behaviour in the classroom
  • Develop practical strategies to support co-regulation and self-regulation in early and primary learners
  • Learn how to integrate regulation strategies into transitions, learning activities and challenging classroom moments

Laura is an educator and yoga specialist with over 25 years of experience working with children and young people, including 20-years in the international sector. She specialises in movement-based learning and nervous system regulation, helping educators use creative, evidence-informed strategies to support children’s focus, well-being and learning readiness. Her trainings are known for being highly practical, engaging and immediately applicable in real classroom environments.

This practical training supports educators in developing a clear understanding of regulation, dysregulation, and co-regulation in children and classrooms. 

Participants will explore how stress, cognitive load and nervous system responses influence behaviour, attention and learning readiness in both early years and primary classrooms. 

The workshop introduces simple, evidence-informed strategies that support children’s regulation, social-emotional learning and engagement. Educators will explore practical tools that can be used during transitions, challenging moments and everyday classroom routines. 

The focus is on realistic, time-efficient approaches that teachers can confidently implement in busy school environments.
