
Dr. Michael O'Neill is a teacher, trainer and author based in the UK with over 30 years experience in the classroom, as a Head of Department, Deputy Head and Director of Educational Strategies for a number of companies and a multi-academy trust. Dr. O'Neill has trained staff in the UK, UAE, Guernsey and Canada, with a focus on developing excellent teaching and learning approaches in the primary and secondary classroom. These have been referred to in multiple inspection reports where schools have received excellent judgements for the quality of their teaching and learning.
Dr. O'Neill has also written 40+ textbooks for schools, focusing on secondary physics. He was also the recipient of the Teaching Awards Trust award for Teacher of the Year in a Secondary School for the North East and Cumbria in 2004.
His course, ‘Highly Effective Teaching,’ focuses on the development of excellent teaching and learning strategies in the areas of classroom management, engagement, challenge, feedback, questioning and metacognition. There is also an element which allows teachers to measure the impact of their teaching on the quality of learning in the classroom.
In his spare time, he loves to ski, play squash and cook!
