This course has been designed for those who hold key safeguarding responsibilities within the organisation. This course will benefit:

- Supervisory staff from nursery, primary and further educational organisations
Aims of the course
The course will explore:
- The National Child Protection Policy;
- Creating and implementing a school safeguarding and child protection strategy incorporating the National Child Protection Policy;
- Safeguarding roles and responsibilities;
- Communication with key stakeholders including parents and governors/trustees;
- Developing a robust staff training plan to embed the National Child Protection Policy;
- The importance of embedding a culture of safeguarding empowered pupils;
- Robust safeguarding risk management;
- Embedding the National Child Protection Policy in Safeguarding Standard Operating Procedures;
- Reflecting on current practice and identifying changes to practice in line with the National Child Protection Policy.
