Aims of the course
  • Understand how yoga-based strategies supports attention, social-emotional learning and overall wellbeing in young children 
  • Explore how the developing nervous system influences behaviour, regulation and learning readiness 
  • Learn developmentally appropriate yoga-based movement, relaxation and regulation techniques for early years classrooms 
  • Discover how these strategies can be realistically integrated into circle time, music and movement, storytelling, transitions and daily routines 
Intended outcomes
  • Recognise and respond to signs of dysregulation in young children using supportive, developmentally appropriate strategies 
  • Confidently guide yoga-based movement, relaxation and regulation techniques to support class engagement, well-being and social-emotional learning 
  • Integrate short movement and breathing activities into everyday classroom moments such as circle time, transitions, music and movement, and storytelling 
  • Apply practical regulation frameworks to support children’s focus, mental wellbeing, and readiness to learn

She specialises in movement-based learning and nervous system regulation, helping educators use creative, evidence-informed strategies to support children’s focus, well-being and learning readiness. This practical training introduces educators to evidence-informed yoga-based movement, relaxation and regulation strategies that support young children’s attention, engagement and social-emotional learning. 

Participants explore how the developing nervous system influences behaviour and learning readiness, and learn simple, playful and age-appropriate movement, breathing and sensory-based strategies that can be integrated into everyday classroom routines and transitions. 

The course focuses on realistic tools teachers can implement immediately in early years settings.
