Aims of the Course

To understand and use The Whole Of Me teaching resource – active story, yoga inspired movements, songs, extension activities, development of well being.  

Intended Outcomes
  • Understand the importance of movement to learning
  • Understand and use The Whole Of Me resource and the thinking behind it
  • Build up a comprehensive repertoire of simple movements to use in story to engage and inspire
  • Be able to use the 8 key themes of The Whole Of Me : Listen, Communicate, Move , Regulate, Empathy, Gratitude and Curiosity
  • Learn how to create your own active stories to fit the themes of TWOM
  • Understand the educational and emotional benefits of the specific movements in TWOM
  • How to apply The Whole Of Me techniques to other areas of the curriculum – create effective extension activities
  • How to use stand-alone activities from TWOM to energise, ground and calm the children.

Philip Davis is based in London. He is the founder of Write Inspired and co-creator of The Whole Of Me resource. He provides both Inset and specially designed in-house CPD where Philip Davis demonstrates the efficacy of his techniques with classes. Philip has now worked with many thousands of children all over the world. He has worked in all sectors, state, private and international. Write Inspired also delivers project-based consultancy working with many classes within a school and alongside Senior management and staff in meetings focusing on the development of a more creative curriculum.

Programme details:

The course will walk you through The Whole Of Me resource in depth to give teachers ideas and insight into how this magical approach works and effects the language development and well being of children. Teachers will be able to build this into their current practice with ease.
