Lorraine Kingsman

Lorraine Kingsman is an experienced Primary Headteacher judged to be inspirational and outstanding by Ofsted. As a Headteacher she was part of the Dylan William / Paul Black ‘Formative Assessment’ research project. She left Headship in 2004 and is now a highly regarded international Learning Consultant. She carries out a wide range of work from supporting and extending the practice of individuals, teams and whole schools to devising and leading major training programs for groups of schools across Oxfordshire and beyond.  Lorraine works in all areas of school improvement and leadership development. Particular areas of expertise are Formative Assessment; Growth Mindset; learning how to learn; higher order thinking and dialogue; and establishing an aspirational learning culture and environment.  Most recent projects include devising and running class-based research programmes for partnerships of schools in Oxfordshire and working with teachers, leadership and support staff to ensure teaching assistants and learning support assistants become genuine teaching partners in the classroom.

 

She brings great interpersonal skills, humour, challenge and empathy to all her work as well as high quality professionalism. All her courses are firmly rooted in classroom practice.
