By the end of the program, educators will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to confidently integrate ChatGPT into their teaching practice, enhancing student engagement, personalisation, and promoting responsible AI usage.

Programme Details:
This programme is designed to provide educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate ChatGPT, an AI language model, into their teaching practice. Participants will gain an understanding of AI in education, explore the potential benefits and challenges of AI integration, and specifically focus on the capabilities and applications of ChatGPT in the classroom.
Through a series of interactive sessions, participants will learn how to set up and configure ChatGPT for educational use, understand its limitations and potential risks, and design engaging learning experiences using ChatGPT as a virtual tutor or collaborative learning tool. The program also emphasises ethical considerations, promoting inclusivity, and addressing potential biases in AI interactions.
Participants will be guided through best practices for integrating ChatGPT responsibly, ensuring privacy and data security, and continuously evaluating its effectiveness. By the end of the program, educators will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to leverage the power of ChatGPT to enhance student engagement, foster personalised instruction, and promote innovative teaching practices within their educational settings.
Session 1: Introduction to AI in Education and ChatGPT
● Gain an understanding of AI in education and its potential benefits and challenges. What can it /cant it do?
● Explore the capabilities and applications of ChatGPT in the classroom. How might you use it?
● Understand the ethical considerations and potential biases in AI interactions. What are the threats/opportunities?
Session 2: Setting Up and Configuring ChatGPT for Educational Use
● Learn how to effectively set up and configure ChatGPT for educational purposes. Prompt engineering
● Navigate the ChatGPT interface and understand its limitations and potential risks. Dealing with compelling, but wrong outputs.
● Promote responsible usage and ensure data privacy and security. Safe use with your students.
Session 3: Designing Engaging Learning Experiences with ChatGPT
● Leverage ChatGPT as a virtual tutor or collaborative learning tool.
● Explore strategies for integrating ChatGPT to create interactive and engaging lessons. The 5-minute lesson planner!

Neil’s background in challenging schools led him to develop the physics of activities students found engaging such as football, surfing, and skateboarding. “You can teach most of the forces topic using a skateboarder doing an ollie and the skaters will listen to you!”
A hearing loss forced Neil from the classroom where he loved being an Advanced Skills Teacher in challenging schools- Terrible title, but wonderful job. So he became an educational consultant and the more he learned, the more he realised he had and still has to learn. But digital tools have enabled him to effectively teach again and have opened a whole host of new opportunities.
