Amanda King Education Support Limited is a UK based company established in 2011, by an experienced consultant working independently to provide bespoke training programmes covering all aspects of primary English.
Amanda King Education Support Ltd aims to provide high-quality personalised consultancy, coaching and training for the development of literacy and learning in primary education. From single inset sessions to extended programmes of consultancy, support is tailored to meet the needs of individual teachers and teaching assistants, whole school priorities and CPD training courses. The scope of consultancy provided by the company ranges from one-to-one support for teachers to plan and teach effective and inspiring lessons and units of work, to school in-service training on aspects of subject knowledge or whole school development.
Amanda King has over twenty-five years’ experience as a primary school teacher, senior leader and education consultant. Judged to be an excellent teacher by Ofsted, she is now in demand as an independent consultant, inspiring and supporting the development of learning, teaching and assessment of literacy and the wider application of literacy and learning across the curriculum. Amanda carries out moderation of teacher assessment in Key Stages One and Two for Oxfordshire County Council and is an associate trainer for Creative Education. She has led a number of courses for schools in Europe, the Middle East and Far East on aspects of the English curriculum, such as grammar, phonics, spelling, reading and planning units of work.
Amanda is passionate about the central importance of talk for reading and writing and works extensively with schools to promote and strengthen the links between speaking and listening, reading and writing both to enthuse and motivate pupils and to raise attainment. Fundamental to her work are high standards of professionalism and effective interpersonal and communication skills, including patience, empathy and humour.
