Aims of the course

In this course we will share and discuss ways that we can work, both independently and within our learning communities, to support individuals and teams to navigate their way towards a heightened and more stable state of wellbeing, through cultivating resilience skills.  By identifying and analysing the strengths necessary for achieving wellbeing and behaving resiliently, we can collaborate to navigate the highs and lows in ways that promote mental, emotional, and physical health.

Intended outcomes
  • Appreciate that Digital citizenship is an aspect of citizenship
  • Appreciate that digital literacy is an aspect of media literacy
  • Explore, discuss and problem-solve the challenges of being “Digital Immigrants” teaching “Digital Nomads”
  • Explore the teaching and learning of aspects of online privacy, safety and etiquette
  • Share the responsibility for protecting online safety and responsibility with students and parents
  • Explore strategies for developing skills in discerning online content, for teachers and students
  • Investigate perspectives and practices of Digital Wellness
