Target audience

PRIMARY and SECONDARY – for delegates who have completed the Safeguarding DSL Level 3 with Infinite Learning and The Safeguarding Alliance.  

Intended outcomes

Delegates will:

  • Reflect upon the last year as DSL;
  • Identify new safeguarding trends, concerns and possible risks;
  • Identify and implement any new legislative changes;
  • Review and update safeguarding strategic plan.

Course Summary

This course is designed for delegates who have attended The Safeguarding Alliance Advanced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training previously and acts as a refresher course.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Reflect on a year as a DSL;
  • Identify and understand new safeguarding trends and risks;
  • Implement new legislative changes;
  • Identify learning from serious case reviews.
