Secondary & Upper Primary Teachers & Support Staff
Participants will leave the course with the knowledge, practical tips and confidence to share a variety of meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques with upper primary & secondary students, within their classroom and ECAs.
- Participants will leave the course with the knowledge, practical tips and confidence to share a variety of breathing techniques, relaxations and meditations within upper primary and secondary classrooms or ECAs.
- Participants will learn about and experience a variety of age-appropriate breathing & relaxation techniques, mindfulness activities and meditations to enhance students focus, learning and self-regulation skills.
- Participants will understand how each technique can be adapted for neurodiverse classrooms and individuals, and how to realistically implement each technique into their daily classroom, no matter what subjects they teach
AM: Breathing techniques to support students self-regulation skills, nervous systems, mental & emotional health, and creative, effective ways to introduce each technique into their daily classroom
PM: Meditations & Relaxations for upper primary & secondary students and classrooms – creative teaching techniques to incorporate relaxation and meditation into neurodiverse classrooms to enhance students concentration, self-regulation and anxiety-relief (meditation techniques for a calmer classroom)
Practical implementation – how to effectively implement your new skills, techniques and ideas into your daily classrooms.
