About Me
Paul Read (BA (Hons), CQSW, DipHE, PTLLS, MCMI [GDL]) is a 30-year veteran, retired senior UK Police Officer with significant experience of managing Police to diverse Community portfolios, investigating crime against children and vulnerable groups, devising and delivering strategic policing partnership initiatives and conducting investigations globally. Paul also has experience of working in statutory Probation and Prison Aftercare provision dealing with sex offenders; as an investigator into historical child abuse for an international youth charity and as a safeguarding and security advisor for international NGOs and International Schools. He currently utilises this continually updated knowledge and experience supported through his studies in Contextual Safeguarding with the University of Bedfordshire in the UK and the student Behaviour Assessment and Recommendation Team (BART) with Columbus State University in the USA. He is a senior international consultant & trainer for safeguarding and child protection, risk mitigation and educational premises security–management. As part of Paul’s continued professional development, he has recently gained CEOP Ambassador status. In Paul’s spare time he designs degree programmes in partnership with The University of Law London.
