During her time in education across Scotland, England, Qatar,
Abu Dhabi and Dubai, she gained a clear understanding of
International Education and the demands of the job in the Middle
East, the UK and abroad.
Her passion for professional and personal development has been ever present, and, as well as leading her department for the last 10 years, she has delivered multiple PD sessions, led a language conference for teachers across the Middle East, ran wellbeing days in schools and completed her MSc in Educational Leadership.
Heather has a passion for self-evaluation, emotional intelligence in the workplace and motivation in achieving goals, which she is now using in a coaching environment in her personal business, as well as offering online courses to teachers.
The need for teacher wellbeing is of utmost importance, now, more than ever, with adapting to hybrid learning in many schools, the lack of face-to-face contact and many teachers dealing with stress and anxiety. Giving teachers the tools to deal with life’s adversities and become equipped to face challenges in a professional manner is essential for teachers to achieve their goals, work to their best ability and create positive relationships at work.
